The only issue I had with the hotel was that the air conditioning was too fierce. It was difficult to cool the bedroom and we could not open any windows. Otherwise it was excellent in every way - a very quiet room , an excellent location and very helful and genuine staff.
Top Tip
Very close to the British Museum and to the Picadilly Line at Russell Square. Just around the corner from the hotel on the passage leading to Queen's Square was a great pub for a pub lunch - the Queen's Larder. And in the same passage a lovely and reasonable italian restaurant called the Cosmobo. Best evening meal I've had in London, in terms of quality and value for money.

Waverley House Hotel was a real find. The staff were extremely welcoming and efficient, the buffet breakfast was excellent and various freebies (such as free magazines and newspapers provided every morning)were thrown in. Hotel is just a few minutes away from Russell Square tube station, making the location ideal. British Museum is a stone's throw away from the hotel.

Anyone interested in art should definitely visit the Tate Britain as well as the National Gallery. Camden market is a must, particularly for those on the lookout for vintage clothes.

The Waverley is very good value for money for such a great location. Rooms are a good size, and include air-con, tv, tea & coffee making and a safe.
