excellant hotel close to theatre land and westend shops.rooms smart but make sure you complain if room is not cleaned to a good standard and they will rectify this for you.will stay here again so don't tell everyone otherwise it will be fully booked.WARNING watch out for service charge on dining and bar bllls.Ask for it to be removed and you decide what you are going to leave as tip.

The only 2 complaints i have is that when we arrived on mon 1-9-08 they had no record of our booking, but we were given a room eventually.We were informed by Marius,the receptionist that breakfast the next morning was between 7am-10.30am.W e arrived down on tues morning around 10.15am and we were told breakfast was finished at 10.00am!.The staff did nothing to accomodate us for their mistake except offer us tea and toast.We told Marius and he also was in the belief that 10.30 was the last breakfast.the only offer they made us was to bring tea and toast to our room as the remainder of the breakfast i.e. eggs,bacon,mushrooms etc.. was now in the hands of the breakfast staff who were enjoying their breakfast in the staff canteen. I consider this hardly a compromise but yet we enjoyed our stay i your hotel.I would obliged if you could let me know your thoughts on these particular complaints as we will be booking again with you for a stay next year.

Whilst the hotel facilities are what you would expect, the (single) room was the smallest I have ever stayed in and the internal facing window was blanked out allowing light in only.
Top Tip
'Thames Clippers' from Millenium Quay next to Embankment tube station are good value and a quick and excellent way to travel to the sights by river.
One third discount if used with valid travelcard.

The Kenilworth would not take us although we had booked and pre paid. They did send us to the mountbatten which was very comfortable but by that time we were rattled and felt unwelcome and exhausted. Every time we dealt with staff they looked horrified and had to go and get the managers. Not nice even though the room we eventually were given was good.

Room was a bit small and too hot couldn't get air conditioning to work,so we changed room.
Top Tip
Soho is great and there are loads of restaurants. Busaba eathai in Wardour st for fantastic Thai food! Great green curry. Another great night at Floridita at 100 Wardour st. This is a Cuban restaurant with live music. Icebar in Heddon St a different experience and Hakkasan 8 Hanway Place cocktail/restaurant bar in Soho.

On arrival was informed that hotel was overbooked so were moved to another hotel the GRAFTON, a sister hotel further away from where we wanted to be which meant taxis to the west end, room wasn't ready on arrival after expressly asking for room to be ready for 12noon. Only just made the show for 3pm, was a shame because hotel was well appointed.
